Police Reference Check Information

Police Reference Check/Vulnerable Sector Screenings (PRC/VSS) are required for all volunteers due to the nature of working with students from TDSB. If you are a medical student, you can skip this step as you have already applied for one in your first medical year.
For non-medical students, once you sign up, you will need to pick up a PRC form from us and submit it to the Toronto Police Services. After the form is completed, please bring it to Toronto Police Services, located at 40 College Street. The cost of the PRC is $20.00, only by money order or certified cheque, payable to "Toronto Police Services

Your PRC will then be mailed directly to your address hopefully in 4 weeks. Once received, please email us a soft copy of the PRC and also drop off a hard copy back to us at the start of the program

This is a requirement for all volunteers.

We will also accept PRCs that have been done after January 2016 and also from other provinces as long as it is a Vulnerable Sector Screening which allows you to work with minors.

If you live outside of Toronto, please visit your local police department to get your PRC done. Here is a link for more information: http://www.oise.utoronto.ca/ro/Police_Checks/index.html#Police_Contacts

You can pick up a form in The Mars Building 101 College St, Toronto, ON M5G 1L7 at the tables near the security desk closer to the college entrance.
