Hello,
Is orientation week attendance mandatory? I will be going out of the country for a while and would really like to have the trip extended right up to the week classes start.
Also, if I do not attend the orientation week, can I just pick up a stethoscope at any time after that?
Thanks

Hasan,
Thanks for your question! Although Orientation Week is not mandatory, we highly recommend that all incoming students attend the events of the week. There are several curriculum orientation sessions being delivered by faculty and the Dean (ie. orientation to the anatomy course, Structure and Function), as well as helpful financial talks and a student panel answering your questions. Your O-Week team has been working incredibly hard on planning a great week, including the Stethoscope ceremony and formal, so if you can help - try not to miss it! If any students do choose to return after orientation week, we will keep ordered stethoscope and equipment safe and distribute them during the first week. Hope that answers your question!
